Wilhelmina Ojanen is a dance artist currently based in Tampere, Finland.
She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Dance Performance from Trinity Laban in 2018, and Master’s Degree in Dance Pedagogy from the University of the Arts Helsinki in 2023. Since 2018, she has worked mostly as a choreographer, and also as a dancer, facilitator, movement teacher and dance film maker.
Wilhelmina was Young Associate Artist at Sadler’s Wells from 2018 to 2019.
Wilhelmina has made choreographic works for Sadler’s Wells Main Stage, Lilian Baylis Studio, The Place Theatre and the Laban Theatre, as well as site-specific works for indoor skate pools and forests. Her work explores care, more-than-human worlds, becoming, ecological grief, vulnerability and hope.
At the moment Wilhelmina is working on a series of dance projects exploring the theme of care, as well as developing a multidisciplinary and multi-year TIERRA/CURA project on the theme of soil/care.
